Breathing New Life into Local Arts
The ReVibe Festival relaunched the creative heartbeat of Abergavenny’s Melville Theatre this year, running over three vibrant days. A dynamic mix of performances, workshops, poetry, comedy, and live music delighted audiences and supported artists from across the region. It was a heartfelt reminder of the power of community-driven arts.
Day 1 – Opening with a Bang
The festival launched with a powerful evening concert featuring a mix of local musicians and spoken-word artists. The energy was electric, and my goal as photographer was to capture every spontaneous smile, powerful verse, and shared moment — from bright stage lights to intimate backstage interactions.

Day 2 – Workshops, Theatre, and Family Fun
Saturday featured family-friendly workshops in illustration, movement, and storytelling. Theatre performances ran alongside, filling the theatre and foyer with laughter and imagination. Whether focusing on little hands at work or performers in mid-pose, I loved showcasing each stage of creativity — both on and off the main stage.
Day 3 – Live Music Finale
Sunday brought a return to music: acoustic sets, jazz, and local bands closed the festival. The Melville’s main hall buzzed with live sound and audience connection. I concentrated on capturing character: the joy of performance, the thrill of the crowd, and that shared pulse between artist and listener.
