Andrew returned for an update to his actors/extras portfolio last week, following his first session with me in August 2024. The shoot took place at the Theatre at Melville Arts Centre — a fantastic location for capturing casting-ready images.
We photographed a range of shots: headshots, head & shoulders, seated, and full-length portraits against a neutral grey backdrop, exactly what agencies prefer. Andrew knew his poses well, so my role was to focus on small details, clothing adjustments, and subtle prompts to elicit natural expressions. Some of my favourites:

Of course, no session is without hiccups — my flash trigger batteries decided to play up, and some flashes went into sleep mode unexpectedly. Andrew stayed calm throughout, and we still captured a diverse and professional set of images.
