The Story of Your Event

The IYE (Inspire Youth Event) Festival is an annual celebration of creativity, expression, and community, organised by 7Corners in Abergavenny. The 2024 edition brought together young people for a vibrant day of music, performance, workshops, and connection — all in a safe, inclusive space designed to empower and inspire. As the official photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing the energy, talent and joyful moments that made this youth-led event so special.

The very first Greener Abergavenny Fair brought together local organisations, businesses, and residents to explore practical steps toward a more sustainable future. Held in the heart of the town, the event featured stalls, talks, activities, and eco-friendly inspiration for all ages. From community gardening and refill stations to climate action and green living, the fair created a vibrant space for learning and connection. It was a joy to photograph this inspiring day and capture the energy of a community coming together to make a difference.

Hosted by ACE Monmouth (Action on Climate Emergency), this inspiring event featured acclaimed scientist, author, and climate communicator Dr Emily Grossman. Through a powerful and thought-provoking talk, Dr Grossman explored the science behind the climate crisis and the emotional resilience needed to face it. The event brought together a diverse audience committed to climate action and community change. I was honoured to document the atmosphere, audience engagement, and the passion that filled the room.

In the summer of 2023, I had the privilege of capturing the vibrant energy of the Summer Sound Festival. This event showcased a diverse lineup of artists, and my focus was on documenting the candid moments, dynamic performances, and the overall atmosphere that made the festival unforgettable. Through my lens, I aimed to tell the story of the festival's spirit and the audience's engagement.

Fulgoni Opticians marked an incredible milestone in Abergavenny, celebrating 50 years of serving the local community. This special anniversary event brought together staff, loyal customers, family, and friends for a heartfelt day filled with speeches, flowers, and of course — cake! The Mayor of Abergavenny, Mr. Konieczny, also joined to honour the occasion. As the event photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing the warmth, gratitude, and joy that filled the practice during this proud moment in its history.
